We need to take a class from this guy. I love how he tied in the current mortgage crisis and the fact that cost of housing does correlate to where our materials are coming from and how they get to where they are going. Globalization is good if it can help support new governments, open markets and cultures or boost struggling economies but when we have to ship things all around the globe just to build our house with all the bells and whistles it is just too much. I wish we could instill a "keeping up with the Jones'" type of attitude toward living within our means or living mindfully. We need a cultural shift in perception to make this workable on a large scale, it seems.
