Here are some good local places in South East AZ that I've come across on road trips: Benson: Nico's Taco Shop: 541 W 4th St Benson, AZ 85602-6502, (520) 586-2298 (good veggie burritos) Elfrida: Baker's Haus: 10400 N Hwy 191 Elfrida, AZ 85610-9001, (520) 642-1716 (yummy mild salsa) Douglas:The Grand Cafe & Gallery: 1119 N G Ave, (520) 364-2344 I would also add the Bunna Cafe to the Tempe area as their brunch is fantastic, though you should note it is only served on weekends.
